Dr. Shilpa Mishra is an accomplished Hindustani classical and semi-classical vocalist, hailing from the prestigious Banaras-Hariharpur Gharana. Born on August 18, 1990, into a family deeply rooted in music in the Azamgarh District of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Mishra's musical journey began at an early age, nurtured by a rich cultural heritage that has influenced her deeply emotive and spiritual singing style.
From the very beginning, music was an intrinsic part of Dr. Mishra's life. She was initiated into the world of Hindustani classical music by her Tau Ji, Pt. Dina Nath Mishra, a revered classical artist of the Banaras Gharana, and her father, Pt. Bhola Nath Mishra, an eminent Hindustani classical vocalist and a top-grade artist at All India Radio. Under their expert guidance, she has honed her skills to become a master of her craft, embodying the soulful and spiritual essence of her Gharana.
